Scot came to Arizona in 1977 to attend college and graduated cum laude from Northern Arizona University. Upon graduation, Scot was hired by Digital Equipment Corporation as a production supervisor and financial analyst. After five successful years at DEC, Scot began his career as a personal financial planner at IDS/American Express. IDS was known in the industry for its excellent professional training program. After two years at IDS, Scot joined the Acacia Group. Scot spent the next 15 years at the Acacia Group, where he was recognized as a leading planner while specializing in retirement planning and asset management.

In 2003, Scot and four other long-term colleagues formed Camelback Retirement Planners in order to provide a truly independent and comprehensive approach to financial planning. Camelback Retirement Planners believes that, in order to provide world-class service and guidance, a financial professional should be free from the proprietary influences present at many of the larger national firms.

Scot completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional education program in 1990. He regularly participates in continuing education programs and conferences. Scot is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Commonwealth Financial Network, member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Adviser. Scot has conducted seminars for corporations, government agencies, and retirement groups on a variety of financial topics.

Personal

Scot and his wife, Trish, live in Central Phoenix with their daughter and son. They are active in their community and are having fun raising their two children. Scot is an avid hiker and marathon runner—he has completed more than 20 marathons, including multiple Boston marathons.
